Zenith awards ‘Recommended’ rating to Allianz Retire+ Future Safe

Allianz Retire+ Future Safe has received another independent endorsement by industry experts, gaining a Recommended rating from the research house, Zenith.

Future Safe is the first retirement solution from Allianz Retire+ and was brought to market in March this year. One of its key purposes is to transform how financial advisers and their clients think about the multi-faceted challenges facing Australians and their retirement.

Allianz Retire+ Chief Executive, Matthew Rady said: “We’re delighted that Zenith has issued a positive report so soon after Future Safe’s launch and we are excited that this represents our second Recommended rating - serving to affirm the quality of the product. Gaining the approval of independent experts like Zenith will help us deliver on our mission to provide greater certainty to Australian retirees.”

Head of Alternatives & Global Fixed Income Research at Zenith Investment Partners, Rodney Sebire, noted the product’s innovative design in his report.

"Future Safe is an innovative product, designed with a high-level of flexibility in terms of tailoring investment exposures and managing potential return outcomes," he said.

The Zenith report also highlighted the combined skill set from this world-first Australian venture combining the scale and expertise of international insurance provider Allianz and global investment expert PIMCO. The report said:

“The partnership between the two firms creates a strong platform to build a sustainable set of retirement products. Further, the Allianz Retire+ business has been funded with patient and long-term capital, which extends over a multi-year horizon."

Future Safe is a seven-year investment product, with in-built flexibility, issued by a life insurance company. It provides a simple way for clients to access the returns of the share market with certainty across a range of outcomes. At the commencement of a policy, clients, in consultation with their financial adviser, select either one or a combination of fixed rate, market-linked investments and protection options to suit their needs.
